Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath the story of Abraham's honoured guests reached thee (O Muhammad)? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he turned quietly to his household, and brought forth a fat [roasted] calf, (26) And placed it before them, (saying): "Will you not eat?" (27) (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. (28) (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' (29) They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” (31) They replied: 'We are sent to a sinful nation, (32) That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." (34) Then we brought forth such believers as were there. (35) But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. (36) and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' (43) But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; (44) they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. (45) And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. (46)
