Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? (24) When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. (28) Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" (29) They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. (30) ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' (31) They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals (32) "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), (33) Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. (34) Then We evacuated there from all the believers (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. (37) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of Moses when We sent him to the Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. (40) There is also evidence of the Truth in the story of Ad whom We struck with a violent wind (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. (43) But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; (44) Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. (45) Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. (46)
