Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) (Sarah) his wife came with an exclamation and clasped her face, and said: 'Surely, I am a barren old woman' (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "What is your errand, O messengers?" (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) which are marked by your Lord for the punishment of those guilty of excesses." (34) So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) And also in Moses, when We sent him unto Pharaoh, with a clear authority, (38) but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' (39) Then We seized him and his army and cast them all into the sea: he himself [Pharaoh] was to blame. (40) There is another sign in the [tribe of] 'Ad, when We sent against them a life-destroying wind (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in Thamud (there is also a sign), when they were told: "Enjoy yourselves for a while!" (43) But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they looked on: (44) And neither stand up nor defend themselves. (45) The people of Noah who lived before them were also evil doing people. (46)
