(O Prophet), did the story of Abraham's honoured guests reach you? (24) Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) Then his wife drew near vociferating, and smote her face, and said: an old barren woman! (29) They said, 'So says thy Lord; He is the All-wise, the All-knowing.' (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. (34) We saved all the faithful in the town. (35) But did not find more than a single family of believers. (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) In response, he turned away along with his army and said, “He is a magician or a madman.” (39) We seized him and his hosts, and cast them all into the sea: and [none but Pharaoh] himself was to blame [for what happened]. (40) And also in Ad, when We loosed against them the withering wind (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. (43) But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; (44) Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
