Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hath there come unto thee the story of Ibrahim's honoured guests? (24) When they came to him saying, "Peace be with you," he replied to their greeting in the same manner and said to himself, "These are a strange people". (25) Then he went to his home so he brought a healthy calf. (26) And he set it before them, and said: wherefore eat ye not? (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They said, “We have been sent towards a guilty nation.” (32) So as to let loose clods of clay on them (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) Thus We brought forth from therein who were believers. (35) But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: (36) We left therein evidence for those who fear the painful torment. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And [thus, too, We destroyed] Noah's people aforetime: for they were iniquitous folk. (46)
