Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise. (25) Then he turned away privately unto his household, and brought a calf fatted. (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. (28) Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ Abraham asked, "Messengers, what is your task?" (31) They said: "We have been sent to a wicked people (32) to loose upon them stones of clay (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) So We brought forth such believers as were in it, (35) But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: (36) And therein We left a sign to those who fear the painful chastisement. (37) And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, (38) But Pharaoh turned away, showing arrogance on account of his power, and said (about Moses): “He is either a sorcerer or a madman.” (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. (41) which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. (42) And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" (43) Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
