Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) beginning to be afraid of them. But they said, "Don't be afraid"; and they gave him the good news of a son who would be endowed with knowledge. (28) His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" (29) They said: Thus says your Lord: Surely He is the Wise, the Knowing. (30) ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, (33) "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." (34) So We brought out from therein the believers. (35) But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: (36) And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. (37) And in Musa (Moses) (too, there is a sign). When We sent him to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) with a manifest authority. (38) But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. (39) So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. (40) And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind (41) Which turned everything it touched to ashes. (42) And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" (43) They transgressed against the command of their Lord. So a blast of sound struck them and they were unable to do anything but stare. (44) they could neither stand up straight, nor were they helped. (45) And the people of Noah before; surely they were an ungodly people. (46)
