Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - (24) They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' (25) Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, (26) And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" (29) They said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing." (30) ۞ (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? (31) They said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, disbelievers in Allah); (32) so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, (33) Marked by your Lord for those who waste their substance." (34) Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, (37) And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. (42) And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. (43) In response they rebelled against their Lord’s command, so the thunderbolt seized them whilst they were watching. (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. (46)
