Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" (27) He began to feel afraid. They said, "Do not be afraid," and then gave him the glad news of the birth of a knowledgeable son. (28) Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." (29) They said: "Even so says your Lord. Verily, He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower." (30) ۞ He said: what then is your errand! O ye sent ones! (31) They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people (32) That we may send down upon them stones of baked clay. (33) Sent forth from your Lord for the extravagant. (34) We saved all the faithful in the town. (35) but We found only one Muslim house. (36) and left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. (38) But Pharaoh turned away, showing arrogance on account of his power, and said (about Moses): “He is either a sorcerer or a madman.” (39) Then We laid hold of him and his hosts and flung them into the sea, and he was reproachable. (40) And in Ad: When We sent upon them the destructive wind. (41) It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. (42) In the Thamud [there was another sign], when they were told, "Make the most of your lives for a while." (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And the people of Nuh We destroyed aforetime; verily they were a people transgressing. (46)
