Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? - (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he turned to his household, so brought out a roasted calf [as the property of Ibrahim (Abraham) was mainly cows]. (26) and placed it before them, saying, "Will you not eat?" (27) [And when he saw that the guests would not eat,] he became apprehensive of them; [but] they said, "Fear not" - and gave him the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who would be endowed with deep knowledge. (28) And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!" (29) They said, "This is true but your Lord has said, (that you will have a son); He is All-wise and All-knowing". (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, (32) so that we bring down stones of clay upon them (33) Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). (34) So We brought the believers out of that they were in. (35) But We found not there any household of the Muslims except one [i.e. Lout (Lot) and his two daughters]. (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; (41) It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. (42) There is also evidence (of the Truth) in the story of the Thamud, who were told to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) So they were not able to rise up, nor could they defend themselves- (45) And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. (46)
