Hizb 53
Juz 27
Hast thou received the story of the honoured guests of Abraham? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. (26) He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) His wife came out lamenting, striking her forehead, and said: "I, am old and barren woman?" (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” (33) marked by your Lord for the sinful' (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) And We found not therein more than one house of the Muslims. (36) And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. (38) But he turned to his counsellors, and said: "He is a magician or lunatic." (39) So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. (40) In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, (41) which spared nothing of what it came upon, but caused [all of] it to become like bones dead and decayed. (42) And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' (43) But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) Before all these We destroyed the people of Noah: they were a wicked people. (46)
