Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? (24) They entered to him and said: 'Peace' And he replied: 'Peace, you are people unknown to me' (25) So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, (26) And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” (31) They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. (34) So We evacuated everyone who was a believer there, (35) But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: (36) And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) and he turned away in [the pride of] his power and said, "A sorcerer [is this Moses,] or a madman!" (39) So We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Indeed, he was blameworthy. (40) There is also a Sign for you in (the story of) Ad, when We let loose upon them an ominous wind (41) It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. (42) And in Thamud's also was a lesson, when it was said unto them: enjoy yourselves for a season. (43) But they disobeyed the command of their Lord; so they were destroyed by a thunderbolt, and they could only gape, (44) Then they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. (45) And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. (46)
