Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story of Abraham's honoured guests come to you? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, (26) and he laid it before them saying, 'Will you not eat?' (27) He therefore inwardly sensed fear of them; they said, “Do not fear!”; and they gave him the glad tidings of a knowledgeable son. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) They said, “This is how your Lord has decreed; indeed He only is the Wise, the All Knowing.” (30) ۞ He said: What is your affair then, O apostles! (31) They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people, (32) "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), (33) Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. (34) We saved the believers among them, (35) but We found only one Muslim house. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moosa, when We sent him with a clear proof towards Firaun. (38) But he turned his back, he and his courtiers, and said, "This is a sorcerer or a madman." (39) So We seized him and his hosts, and We cast them into the sea, and he blameworthy. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) that left nothing that it came upon without reducing it to rubble. (42) And in Thamood it was said to them: 'Take your enjoyment for awhile' (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. (44) So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. (45) And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. (46)
