Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. (26) He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' (27) Then he conceived a fear of them. They said, 'Be not afraid!' And they gave him good tidings of a cunning boy. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. (30) ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” (31) They replied, "We have been sent to a sinful people (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) marked out in thy Sustainer's sight for [the punishment of] such as have wasted their own selves." (34) Then we brought forth such believers as were there. (35) for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. (36) And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. (37) AND IN [the story of Pharaoh and] Moses, too, [We left the same message: for] when We sent him unto Pharaoh with [Our] manifest authority, (38) Then he turned away with his court, and said: a magician or a madman. (39) We therefore seized him and his army and threw them into the sea, while he was blaming himself. (40) And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; (41) It spared nothing that it reached, but blew it into broken spreads of rotten ruins. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (44) So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. (45) And before them the nation of Noah, indeed they were a debauched nation. (46)
