Hizb 53
Juz 27
Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? (24) When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people. (25) So he turned to his household and brought a fattened calf. (26) And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) Then his wife came up in great grief, and she struck her face and said: An old barren woman! (29) They said: “So has your Lord said (that you shall have a boy). Surely He is Most Wise, All-Knowing.” (30) ۞ Said [Abraham]: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" (31) They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals (32) that we may unleash a shower of clay-stones (33) Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. (34) Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. (35) but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. (36) And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' (39) So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) which turned everything it approached into dust. (42) And in the tribe of Thamud when it was told to them, “Enjoy for a while.” (43) Then they turned in disdain from the commandment of their Lord, and the thunderbolt took them and they themselves beholding (44) and they were not able to stand upright, and were not helped. (45) And before them, We destroyed the people of Nooh; they were indeed a sinning nation. (46)
