Hizb 53
Juz 27
Have you heard the story of Abraham's honored guests? (24) When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.” (25) So he hurried to the house and brought a fatted calf, (26) He set it before them, saying: 'Will you not eat' (27) He felt afraid of them; but they said: "Have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son. (28) So his wife came screaming, and striking her forehead cried, “What! For a barren old woman?” (29) "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." (30) ۞ Said he, 'And what is your business, envoys?' (31) They said: verily we are sent unto a people, guilty. (32) That we may send upon them stones of clay, (33) marked with thy Lord for the prodigal. (34) Then We evacuated there from all the believers (35) But We did not find therein save a (single) house of those who submitted (the Muslims). (36) And We kept a sign remaining in it, for those who fear the painful punishment. (37) There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. (38) The Pharaoh and his forces turned away from him, saying, "He is either a magician or an insane person". (39) So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. (40) And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: (41) It left out nothing in its path, but which it split up into fragments. (42) And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." (43) But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. (44) for they were unable even to rise, and could not defend themselves. (45) (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). (46)
