45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Quran. (1) Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, (2) What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” (3) We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. (4) But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. (5) Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? (6) And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, (7) A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. (8) And We send down from the sky rain charted with blessing, and We produce therewith gardens and Grain for harvests; (9) And high date-palms with lush fruit. (10) a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. (11) The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, (12) And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot (13) The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). (14) Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? (15)
