Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) (1) Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, (2) "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." (3) We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book. (4) Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. (5) Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? (6) We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it (7) This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. (8) We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, (9) And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- (10) all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). (11) Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. (12) And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. (13) And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. (14) What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. (15)
