Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). (1) But nay - they deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst; and so these deniers of the truth are saying, "A strange thing is this! (2) What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. (3) Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. (4) But no! They called the truth a lie when it came to them; so they are in a confused state. (5) What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? (6) And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, (7) An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). (8) And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, (9) And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, (10) all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). (11) Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. (12) and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, (13) the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. (14) Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. (15)
