In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! (1) Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! (2) "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." (3) We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. (4) Nay, but they cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a case confused. (5) What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? (6) (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? (7) A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. (8) And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. (9) and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, (10) As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. (11) Before them, the nation of Noah, the nation of ArRass belied and so did Thamood (12) and Aad, Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot, (13) And the dwellers of the grove and the people of Tuba; all rejected the apostles, so My threat came to pass. (14) Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. (15)
