In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Qur'an glorious, We have sent thee as a warner. (1) Nay! they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, so the unbelievers say: This is a wonderful thing: (2) Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! (3) We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with Us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees). (4) But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. (5) Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? (6) and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? (7) as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. (8) and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, (9) and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates (10) As provision for the servants, and We have given life thereby to a dead land. Thus is the resurrection. (11) The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, (12) The 'Ad, Pharaoh, the brethren of Lut, (13) And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. (14) Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? (15)
