Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By Qaf and the glorious Quran, (you are the Messenger of God). (1) In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange (2) Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! (3) We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. (4) Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). (5) Have they not seen how We have established the sky above them and decked it without gaps and cracks? (6) And the earth - We have spread it wide, and set upon it mountains firm, and caused it to bring forth plants of all beauteous kinds, (7) All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). (8) And We send down blessed water (rain) from the sky, then We produce therewith gardens and grain (every kind of harvests) that are reaped. (9) and tall palm-trees with clusters of dates (10) a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. (11) The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud (12) And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot (13) the dwellers of the Thicket and the nation of Tubba', all belied their Messengers, therefore My threat was realized. (14) What, were We wearied by the first creation? No indeed; but they are in uncertainty as to the new creation. (15)
