Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! (1) Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: (2) to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" (3) We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. (4) In fact they denied the Truth when it came to them, so they are now in a dilemma. (5) Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? (6) And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind (7) Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. (8) We also sent down blessed water from the heaven, wherewith We caused gardens and harvest-grain to grow, (9) and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, (10) as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. (11) Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, (12) Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, (13) And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them one denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. (14) Could We, then, be [thought of as being] worn out by the first creation? Nay - but some people are [still] lost in doubt about [the possibility of] a new creation! (15)
