Juz 26
Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
29 verses, revealed in Medina after Friday (Al-Jumu'ah) before The Feast (Al-Maa 'edah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
We have indeed, for your sake (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), bestowed a clear victory. (1) that Allah forgives your past and future sins, and completes His Favor to you, and guides you on a Straight Path, (2) And that Allah might help you with a mighty help. (3) He it is Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers that they might have more of faith added to their faith-- and Allah's are the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Knowing, Wise-- (4) (From His Wisdom) He admits the believers, both men and women, into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, there to live for ever, and acquit them of their sins that with Allah is a mighty triumph (5) And may punish the hypocritical men and the hypocritical women, and the idolatrous men and the idolatrous women, who think an evil thought concerning Allah. For them is the evil turn of fortune, and Allah is wroth against them and hath cursed them, and hath made ready for them hell, a hapless journey's end. (6) The forces of heavens and earth belong to God; He is almighty and all wise. (7) Surely We have sent thee as a witness, good tidings to bear, and warning, (8) so that you [O men] might believe in God and His Apostle, and might honour Him, and revere Him, and extol His limitless glory from morn to evening. (9) Verily, those who give Bai'a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad SAW) they are giving Bai'a (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks only to his own harm, and whosoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward. (10)
