Muhammad (Muhammad)
38 verses, revealed in Medina after Iron (Al-Hadeed) before Thunder (Al-Ra'ad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark). (1) And those who accepted faith and did good deeds and believed in what has been sent down upon Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) and that is the truth from their Lord Allah has relieved them of some of their evils and refined their condition. (2) That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood and because those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus Allah coineth their similitudes for mankind. (3) So when you confront the disbelievers, strike at their necks; until when you have slain them in plenty, tie them up firmly; then after that, you may either release them as a favour or take ransom, until the war lays down its ordeal; this is it; and had Allah willed He Himself could have taken revenge from them, but this is to test some of you with others; and Allah will surely never waste the deeds of those who were killed in His way. (4) He will guide them [in the hereafter as well,] and will set their hearts at rest, (5) And admit them to the Garden which He has announced for them. (6) O you who have attained to faith! If you help [the cause of] God, He will help you, and will make firm your steps; (7) And those who disbelieve, perdition is for them, and He will make their actions vain. (8) That is because they are averse to that which Allah hath revealed, therefor maketh He their actions fruitless. (9) ۞ Have they not travelled through the earth, and seen what was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed them completely and a similar (fate awaits) the disbelievers. (10) This is so for God is the friend of those who believe while the unbelievers have no friend. (11)
