Muhammad (Muhammad)
38 verses, revealed in Medina after Iron (Al-Hadeed) before Thunder (Al-Ra'ad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
God will bring to naught all the good deeds of those who are bent on denying the truth and bar [others] from the path of God. (1) And those who believe and do righteous deeds and believe in what has been sent down upon Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He will remove from them their misdeeds and amend their condition. (2) That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, and those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah present to the people their comparisons. (3) So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make (them) prisoners, and afterwards either set them free as a favor or let them ransom (themselves) until the war terminates. That (shall be so); and if Allah had pleased He would certainly have exacted what is due from them, but that He may try some of you by means of others; and (as for) those who are slain in the way of Allah, He will by no means allow their deeds to perish. (4) Soon will He guide them and improve their condition, (5) And cause them to enter the garden which He has made known to them. (6) O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet. (7) As to those who disbelieve, perdition lies in store for them and Allah has reduced their works to nought. (8) this, because they hate [the very thought of] what God has bestowed from on high and thus He causes all their deeds to come to nought! (9) ۞ Have they not journeyed through the land to see the end of those who went before them? Allah utterly destroyed them. These unbelievers are doomed to the same end. (10) That is because Allah is the Protector of those who believe, but those who reject Allah have no protector. (11)
