Muhammad (Muhammad)
38 verses, revealed in Medina after Iron (Al-Hadeed) before Thunder (Al-Ra'ad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(As for) those who disbelieve and turn away from Allah's way, He shall render their works ineffective. (1) God forgives the sins and reforms the hearts of the righteously striving believers who have faith in what is revealed to Muhammad - which is the Truth from his Lord. (2) This, because they who are bent on denying the truth pursue falsehood, whereas they who have attained to faith pursue [but] the truth [that flows] from their Sustainer. In this way does God set forth unto man the parables of their true state. (3) When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then, when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds; then set them free, either by grace or ransom, till the war lays down its loads. So it shall be; and if God had willed, He would have avenged Himself upon them; but that He may try some of you by means of others. And those who are slain in the way of God, He will not send their works astray. (4) Soon will He guide them and improve their condition, (5) and will admit them to Paradise with which He has acquainted them. (6) O ye who believe! If ye help Allah, He will help you and will make your foothold firm. (7) And for those who disbelieve may they be ruined, and may Allah destroy all their deeds! (8) this, because they hate [the very thought of] what God has bestowed from on high and thus He causes all their deeds to come to nought! (9) ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, (10) that is because Allah is the Guardian of the believers, and the unbelievers have no guardian. (11)
