Muhammad (Muhammad)
38 verses, revealed in Medina after Iron (Al-Hadeed) before Thunder (Al-Ra'ad)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
God has made devoid of all virtue the deeds of those who have disbelieved and prevented others from the way of God. (1) God forgives the sins and reforms the hearts of the righteously striving believers who have faith in what is revealed to Muhammad - which is the Truth from his Lord. (2) This is because the disbelievers have followed falsehood and the believers have followed the Truth from their Lord. Thus God explains to the human being their own prospects. (3) Now when ye meet those who disbelieve, smite their necks until when ye have slain them greatly, then make fast the bonds; then, thereafter let them off either freely or by ransom, until the war layeth down the burthens thereof. That ye shall do. And had Allah willed, He would have vindicated Himself against them, but He ordained fighting in order that He may prove you one by the other. And those who are slain in the way of Allah, He shall not send their works astray. (4) He will guide them, and dispose their minds aright, (5) He will admit them into the Garden He has already made known to them. (6) O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allah, He will help you, and make your foothold firm. (7) But as for the unbelievers, ill chance shall befall them! He will send their works astray. (8) That is because they have been averse to what God has sent down, so He has made their works to fail. (9) ۞ Have they not traveled through the land and seen how was the end of those before them? Allah destroyed [everything] over them, and for the disbelievers is something comparable. (10) This is because Allah is the Supporter of the believers, whereas the disbelievers do not have any supporter. (11)
