۞ Allah it is Who hath subjected the sea for your sake, that the ships may run thereon by His command and that ye may seek of His grace, and that haply ye may return thanks. (12) And He has made subservient to you, [as a gift] from Himself, all that is in the heavens and on earth: in this, behold, there are messages indeed for people who think! (13) Tell all who have attained to faith that they should forgive those who do not believe in the coming of the Days of God, [since it is] for Him [alone] to requite people for whatever they may have earned. (14) He who does good does so for himself; and he who does evil suffers the consequence thereof. You have then to go back to your Lord. (15) We gave the Book to the Israelites, the commandments, and prophethood, granted them pure sustenance, and gave them preference above all people. (16) We gave them clear signs of the Command; so they differed not, except after the knowledge had come to them, being insolent one to another. Surely thy Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection touching their differences. (17) Then We have made you follow a course in the affair, therefore follow it, and do not follow the low desires of those who do not know. (18) Surely they will be of no avail to you against Allah. Indeed the wrong-doers are friends of each other, whereas Allah is the friend of the God-fearing. (19) This is an enlightenment for mankind, and a guidance and mercy for the people of faith. (20) Nay! do those who have wrought evil deeds think that We will make them like those who believe and do good-- that their life and their death shall be equal? Evil it is that they judge. (21)
