Juz 25
Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha Mim. (1) The revelation of the Scripture is from Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. (2) Behold, for those who believe there are (myriad) Signs in the heavens and the earth (3) In creating you and spreading all the moving things (on earth) are signs for people firm of faith, (4) And in the alternation of night and day, and the provision (rain) that Allah sends down from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the turning about of the winds (i.e. sometimes towards the east or north, and sometimes towards the south or west etc., sometimes bringing glad tidings of rain etc., and sometimes bringing the torment), are signs for a people who understand. (5) These are Allah's Signs that We rehearse to you in Truth. In what kind of discourse after Allah and His Signs will they, then, believe? (6) Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. (7) Who heareth the revelations of Allah rehearsed unto him, and yet persisteth with stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not. Announce thou unto him, then, a torment afflictive. (8) And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; (9) In front of them there is Hell, and that which they have earned will be of no profit to them, nor (will be of any profit to them) those whom they have taken as Auliya' (protectors, helpers, etc.) besides Allah. And theirs will be a great torment. (10) This is the (true) guidance; and for those who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord is the severest of painful punishments. (11)
