Juz 25
Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
37 verses, revealed in Mecca after Smoke (Al-Dukhaan) before The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ha. Mim. (1) The revelation of the Book (this Quran) is from Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (2) Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers. (3) And in your (own) creation and in what He spreads abroad of animals there are signs for a people that are sure; (4) And the difference of night and day and the provision that Allah sendeth down from the sky and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death, and the ordering of the winds, are portents for a people who have sense. (5) These messages of God do We convey unto thee, setting forth the truth. In what other tiding, if not in God's messages, will they, then, believe? (6) Woe to all the guilty impostors! (7) Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom. (8) And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. (9) Gehenna (Hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. For them there is a mighty punishment. (10) [To pay heed to God's signs and messages:] this is [the meaning of] guidance; on the other hand, for those who are bent on denying the truth of their Sustainer's messages there is grievous suffering in store as an outcome of [their] vileness.
