Juz 25
And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said: I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds. (46) But when he brought them Our signs, lo, they laughed at them. (47) And not a sign We showed them, but it was greater than its sister sign; and We seized them with chastisement, that haply they should return. (48) And they said [to Musa (Moses)]: "O you sorcerer! Invoke your Lord for us according to what He has covenanted with you. Verily, We shall guide ourselves (aright)." (49) But when We removed the Penalty from them, behold, they broke their word. (50) And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then? (51) Am I not better than this contemptible man who can hardly make his meaning clear? (52) Wherefore, then, have bracelets of gold not been set upon him, and wherefore have not angels come with him accompanying (53) So he made his people unsteady, and they obeyed him; surely they were an ungodly people. (54) So, when they angered Us, We punished them and drowned them every one. (55) And We made them (a people) of the Past and an Example to later ages. (56)
