Juz 25
And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said to his father and his people: "Verily, I am innocent of what you worship, (26) except Him who originated me; and He will guide me. (27) And Ibrahim kept this declaration among his progeny, in order that they may desist. (28) Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain. (29) But when the truth came to them, they said, "This is magic, and indeed we are, concerning it, disbelievers." (30) And they say: Why was not this Quran revealed to a man of importance in the two towns? (31) Is it they who apportion the mercy of your Lord? It is We who distribute among them their livelihood in the life of this world, and raise some of them above others in rank, so that they may take one another into service; and the mercy of your Lord is better than [the wealth] which they amass. (32) If it were not that all mankind might have become one community [of disbelievers], We could have given all those who deny the Lord of Mercy, houses with roofs of silver, silver staircases to ascend, (33) And for their houses - doors and couches [of silver] upon which to recline (34) and ornaments; surely all this is but the enjoyment of the present life, and the world to come with thy Lord is for the godfearing.
