We gave Moses the Book, but differences were created concerning it: and had it not been for a word that had already gone forth from your Lord, the matter would have been decided between them; and certainly they are in grave doubt about it. (45) Whoever does what is just and right, does so for his own good; and whoever does evil, does so to his own detriment: and God is never in the least unjust to His creatures. (46) ۞ To Him is referred the knowledge of the hour, and there come not forth any of the fruits from their coverings, nor does a female bear, nor does she give birth, but with His knowledge; and on the day when He shall call out to them, Where are (those whom you called) My associates? They shall say: We declare to Thee, none of us is a witness. (47) Then that they called upon before will go astray from them and they will think that they have no asylum. (48) Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair. (49) And if We bestow Our Mercy upon him after hardship, he will surely say: “This is what I truly deserve, and I do not believe that the Hour (of Resurrection) will ever come to pass; and if I am returned to my Lord, there too I shall enjoy the best.” Surely We shall fully apprise the unbelievers of what they have done, and We shall certainly make them taste a severe chastisement. (50) And when We show favour to man, he withdraws and turns away, but when evil touches him, then he has recourse to long supplications. (51) Say: 'What think you? If it is from God, then you disbelieve in it, who is further astray than he who is in wide schism?' (52) We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (53) In truth they are in doubt that they will ever face their Lord. Do they not know that He surrounds all things? (54)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
