Hizb 49
Juz 25
And indeed We gave Musa (Moses) the Scripture, but dispute arose therein. And had it not been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord, (the torment would have overtaken them) and the matter would have been settled between them. But truly, they are in grave doubt thereto (i.e. about the Quran). [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 15, Page 370] (45) He who does good does it for himself; and he who does evil does so against it. Your Lord never wrongs His worshipers. (46) ۞ To him [alone] is attributed knowledge of the Hour. And fruits emerge not from their coverings nor does a female conceive or give birth except with His knowledge. And the Day He will call to them, "Where are My 'partners'?" they will say, "We announce to You that there is [no longer] among us any witness [to that]." (47) The (deities) they used to invoke aforetime will leave them in the lurch, and they will perceive that they have no way of escape. (48) Man never tires of asking for the good things of life; but if evil fortune befalls him, he abandons all hope, giving himself up to despair. (49) When We grant him mercy after his suffering, he (boldly) says, "This is what I deserved. I do not think that there will ever be a Day of Judgment. Even if I will be returned to my Lord, I shall still deserve to receive better rewards from Him." We shall certainly tell the unbelievers about their deeds and cause them to suffer a severe punishment. (50) And when We bestow favor upon man, he turns away and distances himself; but when evil touches him, then he is full of extensive supplication. (51) Say: "Just think. If this is from God and you deny it, who will be in greater error than he who is in open dissent?" (52) We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (53) Lo, they are in doubt concerning their meeting with their Lord. Surely He fully encompasses everything. (54)
God the Almighty always says the truth.
