And the believer said, “O my people! Follow me, I shall show you the way of righteousness.” (38) My people, the life of this world is ephemeral, whereas the Hereafter, that is the permanent abode. (39) [There,] anyone who has done a bad deed will be requited with no more than the like thereof, whereas anyone, be it man or woman, who has done righteous deeds and is a believer withal - all such will enter paradise, wherein they shall be blest with good beyond all reckoning! (40) ۞ "And O my people, how is it that I summon you to salvation, the while you summon me to the fire? (41) You invite me to disbelieve in Allah and associate with Him that of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver. (42) No doubt that what you call me to has no call heard, in this world or in the world to come, that to God we return, and that the prodigal are the inhabitants of the Fire. (43) You will remember what I say in time to come; I submit my case to the judgement of God. Surely God keeps an eye on His creatures." (44) And God preserved him from the evil of their scheming, whereas suffering vile was to encompass Pharaoh's folk: (45) (Before) the Fire they shall be exposed morning and evening, and on the Day when the Hour comes, (it will be said): 'Admit the family of Pharaoh into the most terrible punishment' (46) And when they argue with one another in Hell, the weak will say to the proud: 'We were your followers, will you help us against any share of the Fire' (47) [to which] they who had [once] been arrogant will reply, "Behold, we are all in it [together]! Verily, God has judged between His creatures!" (48) Those in the Fire will say to the warders of Hell: "Ask your Lord to reduce the punishment by a day for us." (49) They will say: "Did there not come to you, your Messengers with (clear) evidences and signs? They will say: "Yes." They will reply: "Then call (as you like)! And the invocation of the disbelievers is nothing but in error!" (50)
