And he who believed said: O my people! follow me, I shall guide you to the path of rectitude, (38) O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement. (39) “Whoever commits an evil deed will not be repaid except to the same extent; and whoever does good deeds, whether a man or a woman, and is a Muslim, will be admitted into Paradise, in which they will receive sustenance without account.” (40) ۞ My people! How is it that I call you to salvation, while you call me to the Fire? (41) "You invite me to disbelieve in Allah (and in His Oneness), and to join partners in worship with Him; of which I have no knowledge, and I invite you to the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving! (42) Surely that to which you call me has no say in this world or in the life to come, that our return is to God alone, and that the transgressors shall be the inmates of the Fire. (43) Soon you will remember what I say to you! I shall entrust my affair to God, for God is observant of all [His] servants." (44) So God preserved him from the evil they were planning; and a dreadful doom encompassed the people of Pharaoh: (45) the fire [of the hereafter - that fire] which they had been made to contemplate [in vain,] morning and evening: for on the Day when the Last Hour dawns [God will say,] "Make Pharaoh's folk enter upon suffering most severe!" (46) Just imagine when they will remonstrate with one another in Hell. The weak ones will say to those who waxed proud: “We were your followers. Will you, then, lighten for us a part of our suffering of the Fire?” (47) Those who had been arrogant will say, "Indeed, all [of us] are in it. Indeed, Allah has judged between the servants." (48) And those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna, 'Call on your Lord, to lighten for us one day of the chastisement!' (49) They say: Came not your messengers unto you with clear proofs? They say: Yea, verily. They say: Then do ye pray, although the prayer of disbelievers is in vain. (50)
