Forgiver (Ghaafer)
85 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Throngs (Al-Zumer) before Elucidated (Fussilat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ha-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic Language Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) (1) This Book is revealed by God, the Almighty, the All Knowing. (2) the Forgiver of sins, the Accepter of repentance, the Stern in retribution, the Bountiful. There is no god but He. To Him are all destined to return. (3) NONE BUT THOSE who are bent on denying the truth would call God's messages in question. But let it not deceive thee that they seem to be able to do as they please on earth: (4) The people of Noah before them also cried lies, and the parties after them; every nation purposed against their Messenger to seize him, and disputed with falsehood that they might rebut thereby the truth. Then I seized them; and how was My retribution! (5) And this is how the Word of your Lord has proved true upon the disbelievers that they are people of the hell. (6) The bearers of the Throne glorify their Lord with His praise. They believe in Him and ask Him to forgive the believers. They say, "Our Lord, Your mercy and knowledge encompass all things. Forgive those who turn to You in repentance and follow Your path. Lord, save them from the torment of hell. (7) "Our Lord! And make them enter the 'Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens) which you have promised them, and to the righteous among their fathers, their wives, and their offspring! Verily, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (8) “And save them from the evil consequences of sins; and whomever You save from the evil consequences of sins on that Day so You have indeed had mercy upon him; and this only is the greatest success.” (9)
