And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. (139) [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. (140) He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: (141) So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, (142) And were he not one of those who praise. (143) He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. (144) ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, (145) And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. (146) And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. (147) And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. (148) Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! (149) Or created We the angels females while they were present? (150) Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: (151) "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! (152) Hath He chosen daughters above sons? (153) What is the matter with you? How judge ye? (154) Will you not then remember? (155) Or have you received some clear authority? (156) Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! (157) They have said that there is a relationship between Him and the jinn. The jinn certainly know that they will all be brought to suffer torment. (158) Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), (159) Except His chosen creatures who do not. (160) Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) (161) You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him (162) Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! (163) Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. (164) we are those who stand ranged in ranks. (165) and we glorify God". (166) And they surely were wont to say: (167) If we had the account of earlier people with us, (168) Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. (169) But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! (170) And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, (171) That they would certainly be assisted, (172) and Our host -- they are the victors. (173) Therefore turn away from them for some time. (174) And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. (175) Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? (176) When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. (177) Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, (178) And (then) see, for they too shall see. (179) Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. (180) And Peace on the messengers! (181) And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. (182)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
