AND, BEHOLD, Jonah was indeed one of Our message-bearers (139) He fled to the overloaded ship. (140) Then lots were drawn and he became of those who were pushed into the sea. (141) and the fish swallowed him while he was blaming himself. (142) Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, (143) He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. (144) ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; (145) and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. (146) And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: (147) And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time. (148) Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? (149) Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? (150) Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: (151) "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] (152) Did He choose daughters rather than sons? (153) What is the matter with you? How judge ye? (154) Will ye not then reflect? (155) Or, is there for you a clear warranty (156) Bring your book if what you say is true. (157) And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] (158) Exaltations to Allah above what they describe, (159) except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. (160) So neither you nor those you worship (161) You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. (162) except him who shall roast in Hell. (163) The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. (164) we are those who stand ranged in ranks. (165) And we are they who exalt (Allah)' (166) What, would they then say: (167) Had we a reminder from those of yore, (168) We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. (169) But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. (170) And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. (171) Most surely they shall be the assisted ones (172) and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! (173) So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, (174) And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. (175) What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? (176) But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. (177) So turn thou away from them for a little while, (178) And (then) see, for they too shall see. (179) Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) (180) Peace be with the Messengers (of God). (181) and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. (182)
Almighty Allah's Truth.
