Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. (139) When he left towards the laden ship. (140) And lots were cast (when a storm overtook them), he was rejected, (and thrown overboard). (141) then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. (142) Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, (143) He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. (144) ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. (145) And We made a gourd tree grow over him. (146) And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more (147) So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. (148) AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? (149) Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" (150) Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, (151) " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. (152) Has He chosen daughters over sons? (153) What aileth you? How judge ye? (154) Will you then not take heed? (155) Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? (156) Then bring your book, if ye say sooth. (157) They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. (158) (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, (159) Except His chosen creatures who do not. (160) So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). (161) can lure away from God any (162) Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. (163) (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; (164) Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); (165) “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” (166) Even though they (unbelievers) say, (167) "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). (168) “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” (169) But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! (170) Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- (171) That they verily would be made triumphant. (172) And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. (173) Therefore turn away from them for some time. (174) Watch them: they will soon see. (175) Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? (176) When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. (177) So turn thou from them for a while, (178) and watch. They, too, will watch. (179) Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. (180) And peace be upon the Envoys; (181) and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. (182)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
