Hizb 46
Juz 23
Jonah too was one of the messengers. (139) When he ran to the laden ship, (140) And then drew lots and was of those rejected; (141) Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. (142) Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, (143) he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: (144) ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, (145) and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. (146) And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more (147) And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. (148) So ask their opinion: “(Are you convinced) that your Lord should have daughters and you should have sons? (149) Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? (150) Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. (151) 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. (152) Hath He chosen daughters above sons? (153) What ails you that you judge in such a wise? (154) Then will you not be reminded? (155) “Or do you have some clear proof?” (156) Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. (157) And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! (158) (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, (159) all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. (160) For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- (161) Can tempt anyone to rebel against Him. (162) unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! (163) There is not one of us but hath his known position. (164) and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; (165) And verily we! we hallow. (166) And there were those who said, (167) “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore (168) then were we God's sincere servants.' (169) But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! (170) We decreed that Our Messenger servants (171) that they shall certainly be succoured, (172) And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. (173) So turn away from them for a while. (174) and see, and soon they too shall see. (175) Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? (176) Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. (177) So turn thou from them for a while, (178) And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. (179) Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. (180) And peace be on the Messengers! (181) And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! (182)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
