Hizb 46
Juz 23
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. (139) [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. (140) And then drew lots and was of those rejected; (141) then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. (142) Had he not been one of those who acknowledge the glory of God, (143) he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. (144) ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, (145) And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. (146) And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. (147) So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. (148) Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? (149) Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? (150) Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: (151) 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. (152) "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! (153) What ails you that you judge in such a wise? (154) Will you not then reflect? (155) Or is there for you a plain authority? (156) Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. (157) And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). (158) Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), (159) But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. (160) So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship, (161) Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, (162) Save him who will go to hell. (163) As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. (164) and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; (165) and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" (166) And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; (167) "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, (168) "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" (169) And yet, [now that this divine writ has been placed before them,] they refuse to acknowledge it as true! In time, however, they will come to know [what it was that they had rejected]: (170) And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. (171) will certainly be victorious (172) and Our armies shall be the victors. (173) So turn thou from them for a while, (174) And watch them and they shall see (the punishment)! (175) Do they want to hasten Our punishment? (176) Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. (177) Stay away from them for a while (178) and watch. They, too, will watch. (179) Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) (180) And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. (181) And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). (182)
Almighty Allah's Truth.
