Hizb 46
Juz 23
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. (139) when he ran away to the laden ship (140) And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, (141) [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. (142) and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), (143) he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. (144) ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, (145) and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. (146) We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, (147) and they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. (148) Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! (149) or is it that We have created the angels female, and they [who believe them to be divine] have witnessed [that act of creation]? (150) Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, (151) "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! (152) “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” (153) What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? (154) What, will you not remember? (155) Or have you a clear authority? (156) Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. (157) And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. (158) God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him (159) Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. (160) Lo! verily, ye and that which ye worship, (161) you shall tempt none against Him (162) Except those who are predestined to burn in Hell! (163) [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: (164) We stand in ranks (for prayer) (165) And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). (166) And surely they used to say: (167) If we had the account of earlier people with us, (168) "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" (169) They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). (170) And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) (171) That they would certainly be assisted, (172) and Our armies shall be the victors. (173) (Muhammad), stay away from them for a while (174) See them and soon they shall see. (175) Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? (176) But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. (177) So turn (away) from them for a while, (178) And (then) see, for they too shall see. (179) LIMITLESS in His glory is thy Sustainer, the Lord of almightiness, [exalted] above anything that men may devise by way of definition! (180) Peace be upon the Messengers (181) And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. (182)
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
