Hizb 46
Juz 23
So also was Jonah among those sent (by Us). (139) when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. (140) And then drew lots and was of those rejected; (141) So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, (142) Had he not glorified God, (143) he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. (144) ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. (145) And We made a gourd tree grow over him. (146) And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. (147) and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. (148) Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- (149) Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? (150) Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: (151) 'Allah has begotten' They are truly liars. (152) Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? (153) What is the matter with you? How do you judge? (154) Will ye not then reflect? (155) Or have you received some clear authority? (156) Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. (157) And some people have invented a kinship between Him and all manner of invisible forces although [even] these invisible forces know well that, verily, they [who thus blaspheme against God] shall indeed be arraigned [before Him on Judgment Day: for] (158) Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. (159) all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. (160) for, verily, neither you [blasphemers] nor the objects of your worship (161) Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, (162) except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. (163) [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: (164) And most surely we are they who draw themselves out in ranks, (165) we are they that give glory. (166) What, would they then say: (167) 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, (168) we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” (169) But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. (170) And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, (171) assuredly they shall be helped, (172) and Our armies shall be the victors. (173) So turn thou from them for a while, (174) and see, and soon they too shall see. (175) Would they hasten on Our doom? (176) But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. (177) So turn away from them for a while. (178) And wait, for they will soon see. (179) Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. (180) And peace be upon all His message-bearers! (181) And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. (182)
True are the words of God the Almighty.
