Hizb 46
Juz 23
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) (139) He abandoned his people (140) He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, (141) So the fish swallowed him while he did that for which he blamed himself (142) Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, (143) He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. (144) ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, (145) And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. (146) Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, (147) And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. (148) So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? (149) Or that We created the angels female, and they are witnesses (thereto)? (150) Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: (151) 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. (152) Has He chosen daughters above sons? (153) What is the matter with you? How do you judge? (154) Will you not then mind? (155) Or, do you have a clear authority? (156) Then bring your book, if you are truthful. (157) And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. (158) (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, (159) all of them except the chosen servants of Allah. (160) So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). (161) Can mislead anyone away from Him, (162) Except the one who will go into the blazing fire. (163) The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. (164) we are those who stand ranged in ranks. (165) and we glorify God". (166) And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; (167) Had we a reminder from those of yore, (168) We would have been the chosen creatures of God." (169) They have rejected the Quran. They will soon know the consequences (of their disbelief). (170) Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), (171) that, verily, they - they indeed - would be succoured, (172) And that Our forces,- they surely must conquer. (173) So turn thou away from them for a little while, (174) And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. (175) Our torment seek they to hasten on! (176) But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. (177) And turn thou aside from them for a season. (178) And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. (179) Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! (180) And peace be on the apostles. (181) And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. (182)
Almighty God's Truth.
