Hizb 46
Juz 23
And Yunus was most surely of the apostles. (139) Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, (140) And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, (141) Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. (142) Now had he not been of those that glorify God, (143) he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. (144) ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. (145) and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. (146) And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. (147) And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. (148) So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? (149) Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? (150) Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: (151) "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! (152) Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? (153) What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? (154) What, will you not remember? (155) Or have you received some clear authority? (156) Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! (157) And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up (158) Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. (159) but not so the true servants of God, (160) So you and your deities (161) You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him (162) unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! (163) (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; (164) "And we are verily ranged in ranks (for service); (165) Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). (166) And indeed the disbelievers used to say, (167) If we had the account of earlier people with us, (168) we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' (169) But they disbelieved in it; soon they shall know! (170) Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, (171) Most surely they shall be the assisted ones (172) And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. (173) So turn thou from them for a while, (174) And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. (175) Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? (176) When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. (177) And turn away from them for some time. (178) And watch and they shall see (the torment)! (179) Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! (180) and peace be upon the Messengers, (181) And all praise to God, the Lord of all the worlds. (182)
Almighty God's Truth.
