Hizb 46
Juz 23
Verily Jonah is one of the apostles. (139) When he left towards the laden ship. (140) and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). (141) Then a (big) fish swallowed him and he had done an act worthy of blame. (142) And were he not one of those who praise. (143) he would have tarried in its belly until the day they shall be raised; (144) ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. (145) And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. (146) And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. (147) And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. (148) Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? (149) Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? (150) Verily, it is of their falsehood that they (Quraish pagans) say: (151) “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! (152) Does He prefer sons to daughters? (153) What ails you then, how you judge? (154) Do you not understand? (155) Or have ye a clear warrant? (156) Then bring your Book if you are truthful! (157) They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. (158) (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, (159) But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. (160) So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). (161) You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him (162) Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire. (163) [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: (164) And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. (165) And verily we! we hallow. (166) What though they would say, (167) If we had the account of earlier people with us, (168) Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. (169) Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. (170) And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, (171) assuredly they shall be helped, (172) and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! (173) So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, (174) And (then) see them, so they too shall see. (175) Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? (176) When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. (177) So turn thou from them for a while, (178) And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. (179) Hallowed be thine Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they ascribe! (180) Peace be on the Messengers. (181) and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. (182)
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
