And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. (75) We saved him and his people from great distress, (76) and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; (77) And We kept his praise among the latter generations. (78) "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." (79) Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. (80) Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. (81) Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). (82) ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham (83) when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, (84) and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? (85) It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! (86) What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" (87) And he glanced a glance at the stars (88) Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). (89) So they went away from him, turning back. (90) He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? (91) "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" (92) And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. (93) Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. (94) He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve (95) when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' (96) They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. (97) And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. (98) And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. (99) My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. (100) Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. (101) And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. (102) So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, (103) We called out to him: "O Abraham, (104) Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. (105) Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial (106) Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. (107) And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. (108) Peace be unto Ibrahim: (109) Thus do We reward the doers of good. (110) He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. (111) So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. (112) and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. (113)
