And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! (75) And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), (76) and We made his offspring the survivors. (77) and We established for him a good name among posterity. (78) 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' (79) That is how We reward those who do good. (80) For he was one of our believing Servants. (81) Then We drowned the disbelievers. (82) ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; (83) When he came to his Lord with a sound heart (84) When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? (85) Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? (86) Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" (87) And he cast a glance at the stars, (88) and said: “I am sick.” (89) But they went away from him, turning their backs. (90) Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? (91) What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' (92) He struck them with his right hand. (93) Thereupon the people came running to him. (94) Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands (95) and God created you and what you make?' (96) They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” (97) And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. (98) He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. (99) My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. (100) We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. (101) Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" (102) Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. (103) We called to him, "Abraham, (104) you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. (105) This is indeed the manifest trial.' (106) So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, (107) And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. (108) "Peace upon Abraham." (109) As such We recompense the gooddoers. (110) he was among Our believing servants. (111) And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. (112) and We blessed him and Isaac, and from their offspring are some gooddoers, and others who clearly wronged themselves. (113)
