The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; (1) And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. (2) and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: (3) that your Lord is the only Lord. (4) Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. (5) He decked the nearest heavens with ornaments of stars, (6) and have protected it from every rebellious satan. (7) So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides (8) and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. (9) Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. (10) So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. (11) But you wonder, while they mock, (12) And when they are warned they pay no heed. (13) When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it (14) it and say, "It is only plain magic". (15) Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? (16) Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" (17) Say: 'Yes, but worthless' (18) The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. (19) They will then say: “Woe for us. This is the Day of Judgement.” (20) "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." (21)
