The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks (1) and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, (2) and those who recite Our revelations, (3) Indeed, your God is One, (4) Lord of the heavens and of the earth, and all that is between them, and Lord of every point of the sun's risings. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). (5) We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- (6) and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, (7) So that they are not able to listen to the angels of higher (echelons), and are pelted from all sides (8) Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, (9) Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. (10) (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. (11) Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, (12) And when they are reminded, they mind not, (13) And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, (14) and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' (15) What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, (16) "And also our fathers of old?" (17) Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." (18) The Day of Judgment will come within a single roar and they will remain gazing at it. (19) They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." (20) “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” (21)
