The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat. (33) and We made therein gardens of palms and vines, and therein We caused fountains to gush forth, (34) So that they may eat of its fruit; yet it was not done by their hands. Then why do they not acknowledge thanks? (35) Hallowed be He who hath created all the pairs of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves and of that which they know not! (36) And [of Our sway over all that exists] they have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day - and lo! they are in darkness. (37) And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. (38) We have determined the stations of the moon, so that (after its wanderings) it returns as a dried up inflorescent spike of dates. (39) The sun cannot overtake the moon, nor can the night outpace the day: each floats in [its own] orbit. (40) And a sign to them is that We bear their offspring in the laden ship. (41) And We have created for them the like of it in which they board. (42) And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved (43) It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. (44) When it is said to such people: “Guard yourselves against what is ahead of you and what has preceded you that mercy be shown to you” (they pay scant heed to it). (45) yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. (46) And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." (47) And they say: When will this promise be fulfilled, if ye are truthful? (48) They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, (49) No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people! (50)
