Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth (33) And We have placed therein gardens of the date-palm and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein, (34) so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? (35) Limitless in His glory is He who has created opposites in whatever the earth produces, and in men's own selves, and in that of which [as yet] they have no knowledge. (36) A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. (37) And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. (38) And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. (39) It behoves not the sun to overtake the moon, neither does the night outstrip the day, each swimming in a sky. (40) And a sign unto them is that We bear their offspring in a laden ship. (41) And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride. (42) And if We please, We can drown them, then there shall be no succorer for them, nor shall they be rescued (43) Except by way of Mercy from Us, and by way of (world) convenience (to serve them) for a time. (44) And [yet,] when they are told, "Beware of [God's insight into] all that lies open before you and all that is hidden from you, so that you might be graced with His mercy," [most men choose to remain deaf;] (45) And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away. (46) And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. (47) The unbelievers say, "When will the Day of Judgment come if what you say is at all true?" (48) They must be waiting for but one single blast, which will overtake them while they are still disputing. (49) Then they cannot make bequest, nor can they return to their own folk. (50)
