Hizb 45
Juz 23
Coin for them a similitude: The people of the city when those sent (from Allah) came unto them; (13) When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you." (14) [The others] answered: "You are nothing but mortal men like ourselves; moreover, the Most Gracious has never bestowed aught [of revelation] from on high. You do nothing but lie!" (15) The Messengers said: "Our Lord knows that we have been sent as Messengers to you, (16) and it is only for us to deliver the Manifest Message.' (17) but they answered, "We see an evil omen in you. If you do not stop, we shall certainly stone you, and you will suffer a painful punishment at our hands." (18) The Messengers replied: “Your evil omen is with you. (Are you saying this) because you were asked to take heed? The truth is that you are a people who have exceeded all bounds.” (19) And there came running from the farthest part of the town, a man, saying: "O my people! Obey the Messengers; (20) Follow those who ask no recompense of you and are rightly guided. (21) And what reason have I that I should not serve Him Who brought me into existence? And to Him you shall be brought back; (22) "Shall I take besides Him aliha (gods), if the Most Beneficent (Allah) intends me any harm, their intercession will be of no use for me whatsoever, nor can they save me? (23) Indeed, I would then be in manifest error. (24) "Verily, [O my people,] in the Sustainer of you all have I come to believe: listen, then, to me!" (25) It was said (to him): 'Enter Paradise' and he said: 'Would that my people knew (26) that my Lord has forgiven me, and caused me to be amongst the receivers of generosity' (27) ۞ After him, We did not send down any hosts from the heaven; We stood in no need to send down any host. (28) It was but one shout, and lo! they were extinct. (29) Ah, the anguish for the bondmen! Never came there unto them a messenger but they did mock him! (30) Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? They shall never return to them, (31) And surely all, every one of them, shall be brought before Us. (32)
