Y S (Yaa Seen)
83 verses, revealed in Mecca after Jinns (Al-Jinn) before The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] (1) By the wise Qur'an, (2) Lo! thou art of those sent (3) upon the straight path. (4) This is a revelation sent down from the Majestic and All-merciful (5) so that you may warn a people whose fathers were not warned and so they are unaware. (6) The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. (7) We have put fetters around their necks which reach up to their chins so that they are standing with their heads upright, (8) And We have set a bar before them and a bar behind them, and (thus) have covered them so that they see not. (9) Alike it is to them whether thou hast warned them or thou hast not warned them, they do not believe. (10) You can only warn him who follows the Reminder (the Quran), and fears the Most Beneficent (Allah) unseen. Bear you to such one the glad tidings of forgiveness, and a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). (11) Verily, We give life to the dead, and We record that which they send before (them), and their traces [their footsteps and walking on the earth with their legs to the mosques for the five compulsory congregational prayers, Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause) and all other good and evil they did, and that which they leave behind], and all things We have recorded with numbers (as a record) in a Clear Book.
