Initiator (Faater)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan) before Mary (Maryam)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
All praise be to God, Creator of the heavens and the earth, who made the angels His messengers, with wings -- two, or three, or four pairs. He adds to His creation whatever He wills; for God has the power to will anything. (1) No one can withhold the mercy which Allah opens to mankind; and whatever He withholds so after it, none can release it; and only He is the Most Honourable, the Wise. (2) O men! call to mind the favor of Allah on you; is there any creator besides Allah who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? There is no god but He; whence are you then turned away? (3) And if they belie thee, then surely apostles have been belied before thee. And unto Allah shall be brought back all affairs. (4) O men! Certainly the promise of Allah is true. Let not then this present life deceive you, nor let the Chief Deceiver deceive you about Allah. (5) Lo! the devil is an enemy for you, so treat him as an enemy. He only summoneth his faction to be owners of the flaming Fire. (6) For the disbelievers is a severe punishment; and for those who accepted faith and did good deeds is forgiveness, and an immense reward. (7)
